Is it just me or was this long weekend not long enough?! The #ThanksgivingReadathon is now over and I feel like I didn’t get enough time to enjoy it.

Out of the 5 books I want to finish before the start of #COYER, I only finished The Silmarillion.
That didn’t happen *sigh* However, I did get down to about a hundred pages left of Dreams of Gods and Monsters and I got through nearly 200 pages of The Book of Night with Moon. That’s not horrible, even if I didn’t read as much as I wanted.

Jackie B @ Tsundoku and Ottavia @ Novels and Nonfiction are hosting the #ThanksgivingReadathon, “a stress-free way to get caught up with your reading and prioritize me-time during a family-packed week.”
Below is how to participate, but click on any of the links above to get more details, including information about the giveaway!

These are my current reads, and I might finish one or two of them before Wednesday.
Since #COYER starts in December, I want as many of my current reads finished by then so I can start fresh.
Are you participating in the #ThanksgivingReadathon or any other readathons over Thanksgiving? Which book on my TBR should I finish first?

Total books for the year: 90 of 95. I was in a mood most foul earlier in the week and went on Litsy to ask for book recommendations. My request was for stories full of Buffy-like ass-kicking characters, and that’s how I ended up reading The Secret Hour. So far, it has hit the spot perfectly even though there hasn’t been much ass-kicking yet. I’m nearly done with it, and once I am, I’ll catch up with the Silmarillion for #LOTRChapteraDay. I should be finished with that by the end of this week. Then I’ll be trying to finish the rest of my current reads before the start of #COYER on December 16th. Speaking of #COYER, I’ve been preparing by finally, and slowly getting all of my books scanned into Goodreads. Once I’m done, I’ll also be fully prepped for next year’s #ShelfLove.

It’s time to get ready for another round of #COYER! The challenge begins December 16th and ends March 9th. I’ll be participating in the “Switch”, which is outlined below, but click on the link to get all of the details.
There are 3 components: “The Strict”, “The List”, and “The One with the Twist”. Each component will be done once, in any order, at one of the 3 phases:
I’m going to do “The List” first, from December 16th to January 12th, then “The One with the Twist” second, from January 13th to February 9th, and then I’ll wrap up this round of COYER with “The Strict” from February 10th to March 9th. I’ve already put together my List on Goodreads, and I’m going to stick to my physical books for “The One with the Twist”. I’ve created another list of the free/less than $5 ebooks and audiobooks I have for “The Strict”, but it’s a work in progress.
From now until #COYER starts, I’ll be trying to finish up all of my current reads so I can start fresh with a book from my list. Are you participating in #COYER Winter Switch? What do you think of the books on my list? Are there any I should I read first?

The Classics Club announced the Spin number yesterday:
Which means I’ll be reading The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. While it wasn’t the book I really wanted, it will be a quick, easy read and that’s probably a good thing right now. I’m in the middle of reading The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien and it is definitely not light reading.
