The Classics Club Spin Number…

classicsclub
The Classics Club announced the Spin number yesterday:

12

Which means I’ll be reading Paradise Lost by John Milton.  I’ll take a look at the book later today and figure out if I want to do a read along.  My copy is 737 pages, but I’m not sure how much of that is Introduction, Notes, etc.

Thursday's Things: Women's History Month

1001 Things
Original Image: Viktor Hertz

“Thursday’s Things” is a collection of interesting stuff I’ve found during my meanderings on the net.  Sometimes it’s monthly, other times it’s whenever I happen to find at least 10 topically related links I think are worth reading, but it’s always on a Thursday.

March is Women’s History Month, and yesterday was International Women’s Day.  That makes today the perfect Thursday to give you tons of stuff about Women, Women’s History, Feminism, etc.  Most of these links are reading suggestions, but when do we not need more books to add to our TBR piles?

Total pages read this week: 121

Total # of books for the year: 9 of 85.  I don’t know what’s going on with me, but I think Anna Karenina pushed me into a reading slump.  I’ve been spending most of my time meditating, trying to catch up on chores around the apartment, watching “The Crown” when the Boyfriend isn’t home, and “Star Trek: The Next Generation” with him when he is, and spending time playing Dresden’s favorite game, “mousey” (he loves stalking and pouncing on a toy mouse attached to an elastic string that I use to drag it around like it’s trying to escape from getting eaten).  I’ve also been catching up on my favorite podcasts or listening to music instead of an audiobook.
