  • The Portable Dorothy Parker by Dorothy Parker
  • A Philosophy of Walking by Frédéric Gros
  • The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows

  • Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

Challenges:

  • COYER: 1 of 30 from The List, 8 for “The One With The Twist”

Total pages read this week: 234
Total books for the year: 13 of 90.  If it weren’t for listening to Let’s Pretend This Never Happened, I wouldn’t have read much of anything this week.  The Boyfriend and I finished packing up the apartment and completed the 1st half of our road trip to California.  We’re currently visiting his Mom and her Husband in Arizona.  I’m not 100% sure what day we’re leaving, but I’m catching up on sleep, eating food that didn’t come from a drive-through, and generally relaxing.  I also got to hang out with my BFF on Sunday and I already miss her!

Total books for the year: 13 of 90.  Reading time has been nearly non-existent for most of this week.  While I managed to finish one book towards the beginning of the week, I haven’t picked up a book to read instead of pack since Friday.  The Boyfriend and I leave for San Francisco later this week, so I’m hoping to get some quiet reading time once the apartment is finally empty of all our stuff.

Total books for the year: 10 of 90.  This weekend was the 24 in 48 readathon.  I did fairly well and read for a little more than 12 hours and finished 3 books.  I can’t believe I’ve already finished 10 books this month, especially since there are still a few days until February.  I might even finish an eleventh book, but I’m not in any rush.

Total books for the year: 5 of 90.  It’s been an extremely busy week as the Boyfriend and I make plans to move.  I don’t know how much reading I’m going to accomplish over the next month or so, but my goal is to read for at least a half hour every night before bed.  I call it a goal, but really it’s part of my self-care plan to maintain my sanity 😉  Luckily, I’m still on track to finish 90 books this year.

Happy New Year!

Currently Reading:

  • Leave Me Alone, I’m Reading by Maureen Corrigan – My 1st read of the New Year!  The title is fitting, don’t you think? 😉
  • Les Misérables by Victor Hugo – I’m starting this today with the hopes of finishing it by the end of the year.  It’s a re-read, but I haven’t read it since high school.
  • A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson – One of my #FitReaders goals is to finish the virtual Appalachian Trail, and this book, this year.
  • A Philosophy of Walking by Frédéric Gros
  • The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss – for the #EpicBuddyRead on Litsy.
  • The Map to Everywhere by Carrie Ryan

Finished:

  • Ghosts of Greenglass House by Kate Milford
  • Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
  • The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
  • The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins

Challenges:

Total pages read this week: 998
Total books for the year: 102. I can’t believe I finished 102 books in 2017!!!  My goal for this year is 90, which is only 5 more than my original 2017 goal.  I’m a little sad that there won’t be a 2018 #ShelfLove challenge, and I haven’t found a comparable TBR challenge yet, so if you know of any, please leave a link in the comments.
