It’s October! The Boyfriend and I started reading Uncle Montague’s Tales of Terror together. It’s a book of Middle-Grade Horror short stories, and I think we’re going to read one story a night.
I can’t believe it’s almost October already! I’ve finished 7 books for RIP, started two others (one physical, one audio), and I started listening to my “October Country” playlist. I still haven’t decided which book to read for “Peril of the Real” so I can get my first Bingo, but both of my current reads are over 700 pages, so I’ve got some time to figure it out.
It’s the 3rd week of #RIPXVI and I’m still flying through pages. I’ve finished 5 books, started two others (one physical, one audio), and I’m just over halfway through the 13th season of “Supernatural.” It might be my last season, though, because it’s starting to get a bit ridiculous, and major stuff that would’ve taken them two or three episodes in earlier seasons now takes them less than half an episode to do. I’m also getting really tired of the overarching storyline and really miss the back-to-back good old-fashioned monster hunting and killing episodes. I’m going to try to at least finish the season before I move on to something else. I just have to figure out what to read for “Peril of the Real” so I can get my first Bingo.
It’s the 2nd week of #RIPXVI and I’m flying through pages. I’ve finished 3 books, started another, and I’m into the 13th season of “Supernatural.” I plan on finishing We Are Legion (We Are Bob) today so I can start a RIP-worthy audiobook. Then, I’ll only have to read something for “Peril of the Real” to get my first Bingo.
#RIPXVI is getting off to a great start! I’ve already finished one book, started another, and binge-watched some “Supernatural.” As soon as I finish We Are Legion (We Are Bob) I’ll start a RIP-worthy audiobook or maybe even a podcast.
Doomsday Book is so good that I’ve been deliberately cooking the easiest dinners I can and then going to bed earlier than usual so I can keep reading. However, I’m really glad I didn’t decide to read it sooner, but I can’t say why because *spoilers*. I had no idea what I was in for when I started reading it since the book blurb only mentions a “crisis, ” and really, that could be anything, especially when it involves time travel.
Last week was #BoutofBooks 32, and it was wonderful. The books I finished were all great for the most part, and I’m hoping that will continue once I’m done with Cannonbridge (which has been disappointing). The verdict is still out for The Cuckoo’s Cry, but it’s been good so far.
Today starts #BoutofBooks 32! The books I’ve been reading this past week have been really good, and I’m hoping that will continue through this week. It’s supposed to rain a lot where I live, so I’ve already got the perfect excuse to stay indoors with a stack of books.
I’m working from home now, and that means I’m spending less time listening to audiobooks, but more time reading physical books. I’m nearly always done with work before the Boyfriend (who also works remotely) so I spend what used to be my commute time reading on the couch.
Thanks to the #ReverseReadathon this weekend, I was able to get through most of The Ruthless Lady’s Guide to Wizardry, and I plan to finish it before the end of the week.
Catherine House was creepy weird and gave me strange dreams after I finished it before going to bed last night. I hadn’t planned on finishing it until I saw that I had fewer than 30 pages left.
