#FitReaders Check-In

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for October 28th – November 3rd.
  • Mandatory overtime is finally over!  Now I just have to get my butt out of bed to go workout in the mornings.
  • My new FitBit is much more accurate than my old one, and it turns out, I haven’t been getting nearly as many steps or burning as many calories as my old one was counting 🙁  No wonder I haven’t been losing any weight.
  • I wrote up a new plan, which means some new goals, but I haven’t implemented it yet, so I’m going to wait until the next check-in to list them below.
  • If you have a FitBit, you can find me HERE.

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for October 21st – 27th.
  • I’m still working mandatory overtime, but starting next week that should be ending *fingers crossed*
  • I removed the Monthly 1 mile and 5K goals since there’s no way I’ll be able to get a total of 10 of either before the end of the year.
  • I got a new FitBit, thanks to the Boyfriend 🙂 It’s the Blaze, and I LOVE IT!
  • The Boyfriend has started school and has to get up at 5am every morning.  I’ve adjusted my schedule to better fit his and since I now have more time in the morning than I do in the evening, I’m planning on exercising before I go to work.  I’ve got to write up a plan this weekend so I know what I’ll do on the days that I’m not doing cardio, but I already know I’m going to concentrate on my core strength and keeping my ITBS in check.  So, I’ll probably have some new goals listed below for the next check-in.
  • If you have a FitBit, you can find me HERE.
  • Steps: 31,900/49,000
  • Miles: 12.36/17.5

  • This check-in is for October 14th – 20th.
  • The Boyfriend had eye surgery this week and his Mom was in town to help out.  So, of course, tracking my food and water went out the window for most of the week.

  • Miles: 15.02/17.5

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for October 7th – 13th.
  • I met my step goal on two days this week.
  • I didn’t lose any weight again this week, and I’m ok with that since I’m eating healthier and steadily getting more exercise.
  • I’ve improved a little bit more on drinking enough water.  I got at least 45 ounces on the days I didn’t quite make it to 64.
  • I created a FitReaders team for the Step It Up challenge.  If you’d like to join me and 8 other wonderful people, just click on the link to sign up.  You don’t have to have a fitness tracker to participate.
  • If you do have a FitBit, you can find me HERE.

#FitReaders Check-In

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for September 30th – October 6th.
  • I only met, and exceeded, my step goal on one day this week.
  • Now that I’ve got a daily calorie goal and I’m tracking all of my food, exercise, and water, the weekly sessions with my coach are more about learning ways of eating healthier and getting more exercise.
  • I didn’t lose any weight again this week, and I’m pretty sure that’s because I ate way too much Indian food two days in a row.  I’m ok with that considering my choices were still much healthier than if I had ordered from any other place in my delivery area.
  • I’ve improved a little bit on drinking enough water.  I got at least 40 ounces on the days I didn’t quite make it to 64.
  • If you’d like to add me as a friend on FitBit, you can find me HERE.
  • Steps: 32,998/49,000
  • Miles: 13.55/17.5
  • Active Minutes: 76/150
  • Days I Tracked My Food: 6/7
  • Days I Drank 64 ounces of Water: 2/7
  • Monthly 5K Races Completed: 3/10

  • Total Money Donated: $22.90/$25.00

#FitReaders Check-In

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for September 23rd – 29th.
  • I’m still only able to walk during my morning break at work, but for one day this week, I was able to walk during part of my lunch break.
  • This week, I’m continuing with a daily calorie goal and tracking all of my food and exercise, but I’m also tracking how much water I drink each day.  My goal is to drink at least 64 ounces per day.  I’ve also changed my Active Minutes goal to 150 minutes a week, and once I’m consistent with that, I’ll increase it back to 175.
  • I didn’t lose any weight this week thanks to making a few food choices that I thought were healthy but then found out they were nearly half of my daily calories.
  • If you’d like to add me as a friend on FitBit, you can find me HERE.
  • Steps: 34,682/49,000
  • Miles: 14.26/17.5
  • Active Minutes: 90/150
  • Days I Tracked My Food: 7/7
  • Days I Drank 64 ounces of Water: 0/7 – WOW! I really suck at drinking enough water!  I’m going to have to be more vigilant about this.
  • Monthly 5K Races Completed: 3/10
  • Monthly 1 Mile Fun “Runs” Completed: 2/10
  • Total Money Donated: $22.62/$25.00

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for September 16th – 22nd.
  • I’m still only able to walk during my morning break at work.  Now that it’s officially Fall, I’m hoping Texas will get the hint and cool down enough for me to go out during my lunch and afternoon break as well.
  • My second meeting with my “coach” was about continuing with a daily calorie goal and tracking all of my food, but now I have to track my exercise as well.  I’ve already been doing that, so I’m working on finding little ways to get more steps.
  • Though I won’t be tracking my weight in these check-ins, I have to mention that I lost two more pounds when I weighed in this week.  It’s nice seeing that I’m making some kind of progress.
  • My work schedule did not change, and I’m more than unhappy about that.  I and my coworkers were promised several different, more flexible schedules to choose from and then we were unceremoniously told the Friday before the switch that, no, it wasn’t happening.  I’m so ticked off that I’m actively looking for a new job.
  • If you’d like to add me as a friend on FitBit, you can find me HERE.

#FitReaders Check-In

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for September 9th – 15th.
  • While I didn’t get anywhere near my step goal, I did get out every day during my morning break at work to walk.  The temperature is finally cool enough for the first half of the day that I can get a few steps in.  Hopefully, it will be cooler soon so I can go out during my lunch and afternoon break as well.
  • My first meeting with my new “coach” was mostly an introductory, getting to know you meeting.  However, I did set a daily calorie goal and did my first weigh-in.  I also committed to tracking all of my food.
  • I’m no longer going to be tracking how many flights of stairs I do each week.  I have no problem surpassing that goal since I have stairs at home and I always take the stairs, instead of the elevator, at work.
  • My work schedule may be changing next week, so my workout plans/goals will have to change too.  I’m still figuring it out, but I’m sure it won’t be a problem.
  • I got my medal for the 50-mile Road to Hogwarts virtual race I completed:

2016-09-15-20-07-23
I’m looking forward to doing more of these so I have an excuse to buy a rack to display this and any future medals I earn.

#FitReaders Check-In

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for September 2nd – 8th.
  • I’ve been sick since my last check-in, and though I’m over the worst of it, I’m still hacking up my lungs and sniffling, so getting 8K steps a day didn’t even make the priority list.
  • I have my first meeting with my new “coach” this evening, so I won’t have a new plan of action to share with all of you until next check-in.
  • If you’d like to add me as a friend on FitBit, you can find me HERE.
  • Steps: 20,376/49,000
  • Miles: 8.36/17.5

#FitReaders Check-In

FitReaders2016
  • This check-in is for August 26th – September 1st.
  • My goal for this week was 8K steps per day.  That didn’t happen, but I did have my appointment on Monday to get started with the health and fitness program.
  • I have my first meeting with my new “coach” next Friday, so I haven’t officially started the program quite yet.  However, I did find out that I meet with my “coach” once a week, and the program is 52 weeks long.  My goal is to lose 50 lbs. by the end of the program, and I was told that that is a reasonable and healthy goal.
  • Since this is a long weekend, I’m going to try for 8K steps per day again, but I woke up this morning with a very sore throat and might be getting sick, so I don’t know if that will happen.
  • If you’d like to add me as a friend on FitBit, you can find me HERE.
