Total pages read for the week: 355

Total # of books for the year: 36.  My amount of reading has been slightly less than usual because I’ve been spending my time when I’m not working on school stuff, organizing my book life.  I completed tasks off my mental to-do list from creating a master TBR list to going through the ridiculous number of book blogs I follow to weed out the ones I’m no longer interested in for various reasons.  Many of my tasks are still works in progress, but I’m hoping to get everything done before I lose steam or life becomes too crazy to do anything that isn’t necessary.

What are you reading this week?

  1. I’m unbelievably jealous of how full your SF/F bingo card is! I’m doing a Books on the Nightstand summer bingo, and I’m really struggling because I just end up finding new books to read that don’t fit the categories! Gah.

Also, The Origins of the Modern World sounds fantastic. Are you reading it for school or leisure?

    1. Oh, and because I forgot to include this in my original comment: I recently reorganized my Feedly so that I’ll be better at checking in on blogs regularly, but honestly, it’s just shown me that I have a very small set of blogs I’m actually interested in reading. :/ I know it’s because I haven’t given some of them a fair shake, but others… I’m not sure why I still follow them! Guilt? Anyway, good for you for cleaning house.

      1. I understand the guilty feeling. There are a couple blogs I still follow despite the fact that I’m not interested in them but I do like the bloggers. The ones I cleared out were ones that I couldn’t even remember why I followed them in the first place.

    2. Origins is for school, but it’s really good. The Sci-fi/fantasy bingo card was easy up until a couple months ago when I started reading a lot of books that qualified but didn’t fit any of the squares or fit squares I had already marked. I don’t read a lot of books that aren’t Fantasy, so I almost felt like had an unfair advantage or that I wasn’t really challenging myself. Now, though, it is becoming a challenge because I’m a moody reader and I have so many ARCs to read on top of my other challenges and school reading.
