- This check-in is for December 30th, 2016 – January 5th, 2017.
- I’ve decided to switch things up a bit this year. I’m walking to Mordor. That’s right, I’m committing to walking 1,779 miles in a year, which breaks down to just under 5 miles a day, or about 10,000 steps, which is the recommended amount of walking we should do every day.
- In addition to the walking, I’m going to try to go to at least 1 yoga class a week. I hope I can fit in more, but I’m still trying to figure out how to get all the walking in, too.
- I’ve also started the Full Plate Diet. My goal is to get up to 75% of each meal consisting of fiber-rich foods. I’m also going to continue to work on drinking at least 64 ounces of water each day.
- If you have a FitBit, you can find me HERE.

That’s so cool! I want to walk to Mordor, too. Thanks for the link. I think your doing awesome, keep up the good work.
I’m so impressed! I may have to join this group and kick up my fitness goals this year.
You should! The more the merrier! 🙂
FitBit needs to make an annual challenge for a walk to Mordor. I’d pay a little something extra for something like that 🙂
I always do better when I have a goal to work towards! I’m currently training for the MS 3-day 50 mile walk, which is in March. After that I need to find a new goal. Good luck with your walk and with the yoga – that’s one of my goals, too!
Wow! That’s an impressive goal 🙂
That’s impressive, Rachelle! I love this idea. And I agree with Erin that it should be a Fitbit challenge!
I have my new goal of going to yoga since my gym stopped the Body Flow class. I went to my first class today. I hope to go again on Thursday. I’ll post about it next week!
