This has been an extremely rough and stressful week. On top of the extreme cold weather and moving out of the apartment, my car was hit and spun into a snowbank while the other driver sped off before I had a chance to get out of the car. I gave as many details to the police as I could, but since I wasn’t able to get even a partial plate number, the chances of them finding who did it are pretty much nil. Then, the day after my move, I had to prep for a colonoscopy, getting no sleep in the process, only to find out that all procedures were cancelled due to a water main break. Today was the first day I finally got a little bit of normalcy back into my life. My bed and desk are finally set up (which is why I’m able to write this post), and my living room is mostly done. I hope I’m able to veg out a bit this evening with an episode of “Friends” and then wind down with one of the many books I’m currently reading.
My reading has been nearly as chaotic as my week. I’ve started several books and have only read a little bit of each because I can’t make up mind what I want to read and I’ve been too stressed and exhausted to stay focused. Hopefully that will change as I get settled into my new, though temporary, home.
