I had appointments with my Primary Care Doctor and a Neurosurgeon this week, and I have a lot of hope now that I will be ok. There is a lot of damage in my neck, but there are a lot of non-surgical options to help me with managing my pain, and possibly getting rid of it entirely, as long as I’m willing to do the work. I’ll be going to physical therapy, and I’m on a couple of short-term medications to get me through the worst of it. If those don’t work, we’ll try some other treatments. So far, the medications do seem to be working, and I’ll also be continuing to try out the things I’m learning from Mind Your Body as well as the author’s podcast, “The Cure for Chronic Pain.”

I’m currently working my way through some J. R. Ward books recommended to me by a coworker. I’m reading the second book of her Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I hope you find something that works for your pain soon.
Thank you! The medications I’m on have been helping a lot this weekend, but the true test will be when I go to work tomorrow. Stress makes my pain worse, so if the meds stop that from happening, I’ll take it as a win! I’ve never read anything by J.R. Ward, but moving onto the second book in a series sounds like they’re good! Let me know if you continue to enjoy them. I love a good Vampire story.
