  • I’m not sure how I have 5 active days, but fell short of my active minutes goal.  At least I smashed my mileage goal!
  • Hitting my mileage goal means another $5 towards something from my wishlist.  I’ve had the Deluxe Edition “The Lord of the Rings” 1978 animated movie on there for quite awhile, and it was $9.99 so that was my choice.  It will take me 3 weeks of meeting my goal to get the next least expensive item on my wishlist, the Season 2 “Outlander” soundtrack.

I feel like audiobooks are the only way I’m able to get any reading done lately. While I did read a little bit of both The Bone Shard Daughter and The Essential Tea Guide, I’m often too tired at the end of the day to read much of anything, so the majority of my reading is done in the car on the way to and from work. That’s not a bad thing, but I do miss laying on the couch or in bed with a book for more than just a few minutes before I start falling asleep.

The Boyfriend and I spent a large amount of time trying to make our driveway driveable and the path from the door to the garage walkable, especially this weekend. Snow is one thing, but ice is a completely different animal. I miss the South and wish our driveway were shorter. I also wish I had bought a lot more hot chocolate when I finally got out of the driveway to go grocery shopping.

  • Winter storms are no fun, even when they result in a day off from work.  The path to my garage and my driveway turned into an ice skating rink, and putting down salt didn’t do anything.  There is just too much ice and snow, and it’s still coming down as I write this.  My back is still not good enough to go shoveling, so the Boyfriend is stuck with that task while I make sure he’s got plenty of hot chocolate.
