#FitReaders Check-In

  • This check-in is for March 2nd – 8th.
  • My back bothered me off and on all week, but yesterday I went out to lunch with friends for International Women’s Day and now I’m having trouble walking despite not doing a whole lot. I won’t be doing anything today so that I can hopefully go to work tomorrow.
  • I was supposed to start some of the seeds for my garden (bell pepper and lettuce), but that won’t be happening today. That will have to be something else I will hopefully be able to do tomorrow after work.

  • Miles: 15.76/16.31
  • Total Miles: 135.35/850

I’m back to trying to finish way too many library books before they’re due back instead of reading my own books (other than audiobooks). I’ve stopped putting anymore library books on hold so I can at least catch up with the books I’ve got checked out, and I’m hoping to start a 1:1 library book and book from my TBR once I am caught up.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments!

How it works:

  • Go to your Goodreads want-to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

My want-to-read shelf is up to 1180 books. I added a few more books to my wishlist after finishing a couple of books this past week.
This week’s books:

The Solitary Summer by Elizabeth von Arnim – KEEP. I’m hoping to get to this one this year.

Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree – KEEP. Legends & Lattes is one of my all-time favorites, so I’m very much looking forward to this prequel.

Booked for Death by Victoria Gilbert – KEEP. I loved the first book in Gilbert’s “Blue Ridge Library Mysteries,” and I’m hoping this first book in her “Booklover B&B Mysteries” will be just as good.

Can’t Judge a Book by its Murder by Amy Lillard- KEEP. I’m going to give this one a chance despite the synopsis sounding exactly like another bookstore-related Cozy Mystery I’ve read from another series.

The Road to Roswell by Connie Willis – KEEP.  Willis has become an auto-buy author for me, and I’m looking forward to hopefully reading this or at least one of her other books I have on my TBR this #SciFiSummer.
My want-to-read shelf is staying at 1180 books. There is only one book for the next post that I’m not immediately sure I’ll be keeping.

#FitReaders Check-In

  • This check-in is for February 23rd – March 1st.
  • My Boyfriend and I took his Mom to German Village to walk around, go to the Book Loft, and eat lunch. Somehow, I over did it, and have been feeling worn out and not well since last night. I’m hoping some rest today will get me back to normal, but I’m not looking forward to work tomorrow.

My Boyfriend’s Mom is visiting so I’ve been fairly busy, especially since my job is getting more and more chaotic and stressful. I’ve been reading whenever I get a little time, and greatly enjoying each book. Two of the library books I have checked out are due within a couple of days, so I’ll be trying to finish those this weekend.
