My steps are down this week thanks to not doing my usual amount of work this week. On Wednesday, my office had our holiday party, and then on Thursday, I had a couple of appointments and didn’t go to work.
I found out that my health is improving, thanks to getting treatment for sleep apnea. I’m still working on the weight issue, but I’m getting some help for that as well.
I thought I was going to be working today, but upper management gave everyone the day off, and let us all leave early on Wednesday.
I didn’t do much yesterday besides cook, eat, and read, and while I had plans to do some more unpacking, it’s snowing out so I don’t know if that will happen. There are still so many boxes in the garage, mostly books, and I really want to be able to park the car in there now that I have to scrape the windshield in the mornings before I leave for work.
I had 3 days of mandatory training at work that was 100% virtual and I was stuck at my desk. I’m looking forward to moving around a lot more, at least until the next training.
Despite the training, I still managed to do a lot of moving around this week, mostly after work and during the weekend.
My synovitis came back with a vengence this week, and I ended up having to take a day off from work. Since I also had Veterans’ Day off, I took the opportunity to rest and not do much.
I started a new job on Monday, so while my steps are down a bit this week, I’ll soon be getting a lot more thanks to there being no parking where I work. I found a parking garage with a decent monthly pass that is a couple of blocks away, so I’ll be hoofing it back and forth to the office most days.
We’re moved into the house and have most of our stuff out of the guest house. I also spent a lot of time unpacking boxes that have been in our garage since we closed on the house and finding homes for everything.
Tomorrow is Dewey’s 24-Hour #Readathon, and then on Monday I start my new job, so I’m not doing anything other than reading and enjoying my weekend (other than laundry, anyway).
