The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 7th and runs through Sunday, January 13th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. I had the apartment to myself (plus the cat) for most of the day. I napped, I did the laundry and the dishes, and I also read a decent chunk of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.

Even though I didn’t stick to my TBR, I did meet all of my goals this time around. Compared to the last Bout of Books, I did really well. I’m looking forward to Bout of Books 25 in May!
