Total # of books for the year: 28 of 85.  I messed up my back again and was out of work for 2 days.  I mostly read because both of the books I finished and my current reads have been really good.  I will probably finish at least two of them before Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon this Saturday.

Total # of books for the year: 26 of 85.  I managed to read for 22 hours and 19 minutes this week for the week-long mini-readathon.  I would have hit the goal of 24 hours if I hadn’t fallen asleep on the couch on Sunday.  However, now that I know it’s possible, 24 hours of reading time will be my new goal for the next Bout of Books.

Total # of books for the year: 22 of 85.  My back pain is gone and I’m up and about again, though taking it easy just to be safe.  I participated in a 2-hour mini-readathon while also joining in the #LitsyPartyOfOne.  This week, I’ll be doing the week-long mini-readathon and attempting to read for a total of 24 hours by the time I go to bed on Sunday.

Total # of books for the year: 18 of 85.  The Boyfriend’s Mom visited this weekend to celebrate his Birthday.  We ate a lot of food and had a good time talking and catching up.  By Sunday, I was wiped out.  So, I didn’t get a whole lot of reading done over the weekend, but I made up for it during the week.  I removed Facebook and Twitter from the home screen of my phone, and I’ve been reading more during my breaks at work as a result.

Total # of books for the year: 9 of 85.  I don’t know what’s going on with me, but I think Anna Karenina pushed me into a reading slump.  I’ve been spending most of my time meditating, trying to catch up on chores around the apartment, watching “The Crown” when the Boyfriend isn’t home, and “Star Trek: The Next Generation” with him when he is, and spending time playing Dresden’s favorite game, “mousey” (he loves stalking and pouncing on a toy mouse attached to an elastic string that I use to drag it around like it’s trying to escape from getting eaten).  I’ve also been catching up on my favorite podcasts or listening to music instead of an audiobook.
