It’s time for another Classics Club Spin! Below is my Spin list. While I’m interested in reading all of the books on this and my master list, I’m really hoping it will be one of the books below in particular. I’m not saying which one, though.
- Kafka, Franz: The Trial
- Lawrence, D.H.: Lady Chatterley’s Lover
- Du Maurier, Daphne: Rebecca
- Burnett, Frances Hodgson: The Secret Garden
- Barrie, J.M.: Peter Pan
- Beckett, Samuel: Waiting for Godot
- Remarque: All Quiet on the Western Front
- Melville, Herman: Moby Dick
- Hemingway, Ernest: A Farewell to Arms
- Bronte, Anne: Agnes Grey
- Flaubert, Gustav: Madame Bovary
- Eliot, George: Middlemarch
- Proust, Marcel: Swann’s Way
- Gogol, Nikolay: Dead Souls
- Hawthorne, Nathaniel: The Scarlet Letter
- Heller, Joseph: Catch-22
- Cooper, James Fenimore: The Last of the Mohicans
- Crane, Stephen: Red Badge of Courage
- Hugo, Victor: The Hunchback of Notre Dame
- Dickens, Charles: Oliver Twist
The Spin number will be chosen on Friday, November 17th, and then those of us participating will have until the end of the year to read the book that corresponds to that number.
Are you participating in the Classics Club Spin?
Great list! I’m participating too and can’t wait to see which number is picked. Happy reading!
All Quiet on the Western Front is probably my favorite war book ever. We have a few books in common on our lists, although they are in different spots. Let’s see which number we get to read.
Some great stuff on your list! I’m always a fan of a bit of Dickens at Christams, so I’m going to hope you get Oliver Twist. Hope you get one you like! 😀
The Trial was the last book I finished on my list—not a pleasant book at all, but we had a great discussion over on Silvia’s blog: https://silviacachia.wordpress.com/2017/10/15/the-trial-by-kafka-1/
But Middlemarch, now that’s a book
I wish you Middlemarch 🙂
