The Bout of Books readathon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It’s a weeklong readathon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 10th, and runs through Sunday, May 16th in YOUR time zone. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are reading sprints, Twitter chats, and exclusive Instagram challenges, but they’re all completely optional. I only managed to read part of a story from A Knot in the Grain by Robin McKinley, but I did listen to quite a bit of Andrea Vernon and the Corporation for Ultrahuman Protection by Alexander C. Kane. I gave up on The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas because it was due back to the library by today, and there was no way I was going to finish it in time. When I tried to renew it, I found out there are 3 other people waiting to get it so renewing wasn’t an option. Oh well, maybe I’ll try again someday.
