Throughout December, Estella’s Revenge, Girlxoxo, and Traveling with T will be sharing their fave bookish (and sometimes not-so-bookish) experiences from the year and they’ve invited their readers to join in on the fun! The schedule and details are posted at Estella’s Revenge.
Today is about the 10 books that blew my mind this year. I put them in order from most to least amazing, and the links are to my reviews or goodreads:
- The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg
- Chimera by Phil Gomm
- The Stranger by Max Frei
- The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
- Of Bone and Thunder by Chris Evans
- Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier
- Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
- Moranthology by Caitlin Moran
The Night Circus made me list too and I’m such a huge Juliet Marillier fan, so it’s nice to see other people discovering her work. Great list.

Definitely loved Faranheight 451, its an awesome classic, that deserves wider acclaim. Awesome post, check out my TTT
The covers for Paper/Glass magician is pretty rad and they certainly make me want to pick up the series.
Cheers,

I’ve read two of these, THE NIGHT CIRCUS and THE HISTORIAN. I liked both of them, although it’s been so long since I read them that I can’t even remember what they’re about! Gah. I must be getting old …
Happy TTT!
