#FitReaders Check-In

  • This check-in is for June 24th – 30th.
  • Week two of wearing  a back brace whenever I’m not laying down.  I decided that since I can’t exercise, I would take a break from my FitBit and not track any of my goals.  It goes back on my wrist today, even though I can’t do any exercise until Monday (and only if my back feels up to it).
  • Since I also have to start over with my walking plan, I’ve set my new goal at 3K steps per day.

It certainly isn’t the same as a back injury, but I’ve had a nasty something or other (sinus infection? bronchitis?) for the last week, and today was the first day I felt well enough to hop on the elliptical for a workout in nearly a week. It was quite the wimpy workout, too. It’s just so frustrating to not have the energy or ability to get moving. 😦

    I hope your back heals quickly and that you have a nice, long weekend!

    1. Thanks. My back is feeling a lot better, but it’s going to be a while before it doesn’t feel weak anymore. I definitely know the frustration of not being able to do what I want. Wimpy workouts are still workouts 🙂 I hope you’re feeling well enough to enjoy the long weekend.
